Young low-cost airline Breeze adds 8 new routes to Las Vegas starting at $29 one-way – see full list

  • Breeze Airways is adding eight new nonstop routes to Las Vegas as part of its latest network expansion.
  • The carrier will operate its well-equipped Airbus A220 aircraft on each route.
  • The news comes as Breeze, which only started flying in May 2021, continues to develop its transcontinental route map.

Breeze Airways is betting big on Las Vegas.

The fast-growing low-cost carrier announced eight new routes to Sin City on Wednesday, increasing its market presence to 11 nonstop flights. Breeze already serves Las Vegas from Richmond, Virginia, Syracuse, New York and Fort Myers, Florida.

Introductory fares will start at just $29 one way, according to the company.

“With these new routes and more to come, Breeze has identified several unserved LAS markets and will soon make it even easier for travelers from across the country to get to Las Vegas,” said the aviation director of the Clark County, Rosemary Vassiliadis, in a news release. .

The carrier will fly its new Airbus A220 on all routes, which includes Breeze’s first-class product. Breeze currently has 80 A220s on order, with an option for 40 more.

Premium cabins on budget airlines are rare, and competing carriers like Frontier Airlines and Allegiant Air don’t offer comparable products. Spirit Airlines has the Big Front Seat, but it doesn’t recline and doesn’t come with any extra perks, like free checked baggage or a snack, like Breeze’s “Nicest” fare does.

Breeze’s A220s also offer a feature-rich economy cabin, which includes things like USB ports, a seatback phone holder and adjustable head restraints. These advantages are absent from competing carriers.

The airline’s ambition to provide a comfortable experience may be key to its rapid expansion, especially as Breeze is only 15 months old, having completed its maiden flight on May 27, 2021.

As of September 2022, the carrier has a bustling network with 31 destinations, many of which are nonstop transcontinental routes not served by any other airline, such as Richmond to San Francisco.

As it grows, the carrier will continue to offer routes with little or no competition to connect underserved secondary markets, which has been founder David Neeleman’s vision from the start.
